I am Marnix van de Blankevoort, born in 1994, painting since 2017.
Self-taught through experience, observation and practice.

Every piece tells a unique story matching my experience at the time of creation. When revealing life’s obscurities by molding color into form, I showcase my relation to the human condition. Each piece is made in artistic freedom, securing emergence of authenticity in each work.

My art expresses through threefold media.
Oil paints on canvas and board, my favorite medium because it feels natural to me as I inherited it from my family. At the same time the process of working with it feels most respectful to my vision.
Black ink pen on paper because it allows me to create and sketch ideas quickly, inspired by Japanese ink drawings.
Digital 8-Bit art made by hand on my mobile device, as pixel graphics have reached me considerably as a child, and I love playing in this field.
